The secret to nine is the tee-shot. There exists a fairway out there some place, though from the tee decks it may more often appear as a ribbon among dunes. If you risk the long drive and succeed, you are left with only a short iron. The green setting is framed by backdrop mounds and shallow pot bunkers.
